TEACHERS- HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!!!!!!!!

Attention all staff and students:  The capping ceremony has changed location to the Butte Theatre on Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m.  Graduation on the 31st has been changed to having the ceremony at the Elementary sschool.  Please let your families and friends know of this important change.  

Seniors – Next Thursday is your field trip.  You need to get your permission slips in to Mrs. Whitney soon and remember to get them notarized ASAP. 

The last night for the after school activity routes will be Thursday, May 15th.

 

The last Builders Club meeting will be May 13 at 4:15!

 

Athletic physicals will be done here on May 20th in the high school teacher lounge for $25.  If you plan on playing sports or cheering next year or going to camp this summer you have to have a physical. 

 

The Athletic Banquet is May 16th at 6 p.m. Please get your RSVP’s to Rhonda by May 7. 

 

Lost and Found items in the cafeteria need to be picked up ASAP or they will be discarded or given away. 

 

Junior high students receiving one ISS or two ASD’s will not be able to go on the field trips coming up!!!!!

 

Next week on the 13th is an 8th grade Health field trip to Penrose 8:30-3:30 p.m. 

 

The Spring Concert and Art show will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 13 at the high school. 

 

The High School Student Banquet is May 14 from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. 

The high school student council is having their 3rd Annual Flea Market in the elementary school parking lot on May 17.  See Mrs. Pobega for details.

 

On May 21 we will have an Academic Awards program from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with 8th Grade Graduation following.  

 

Woodland Park Drivers Education will be offering a class on June 4 thru June 7 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Woodland Park High School.  Call Coach D @ 687-1818 for more information. 

 

Ladies and Gentlemen of all ages:  just a reminder that we still need to be “gentle” with our school.  NOT everything is going to be new or replaced so we still have to take care of what we have.  Thanks for your co-operation.    

 

The next May NOT classes will be held Thursday, May 8 (pizza day), Monday, May 12, and Thursday May 15 (last class).

 

 Students wanting to become a certified baby-sitter should call Park and Recreation (689-3514) for details.  Classes are limited.

 

Students in grades 9-11:  If you want to run for Student council officer for next year, please get a petition from Mrs. Pobega by Thursday, May 8.

 

Students in grades 10-12:  If you think you will qualify for an academic letter or pins, please get an application from Mrs. Pobega by Thursday, May 8.

******Teachers Section: Important information – please read all of these******

 

Teachers – Rhonda needs your award lists in by the 14th of May so she can get the invitations out to the students.  PLEASE don’t be late with these lists.  It is very important to the kids.   Thank you.

 

All staff is expected to be here the week of finals (no discretionary days please!) which is the last week for students-May 22 is their last day.  All staff is to report the following week to help pack the building even if you are done with your room. The teachers last day is May 31st until otherwise instructed.

 

Awards for academics will be held the night of May 21 at 6 – p.m. along with 8th grade graduation following the graduation.  Please keep the awards to a limit of at least 2 per class with a minimum of 2 awards overall. If you have more than 2 awards per class then you can hand them out during Lit Lab. If you have special “thank you, sunshine, etc.” awards please give these out at the student council banquet which is May 14th from 12 – 2:30 p.m.  Make sure Mrs. Pobega knows this.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask Rhonda or Mrs. Rook. 

 

The World Culture Fair will be held May 8 in the gym. May 12 is the elementary field day.  There will be several high school students helping CK with this.  May 13 is the Spring Concert & Art Show from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the high school. May 14 is the Student Council Banquet for high school from 12:30 – 2:30 and field trips for the junior high. Then, May 15 is the senior field trip. 

 

Teachers if you have “borrowed” any sub keys and not returned them yet please get them to me ASAP.
