Library cards are issued to adults and children free of charge with a photo I.D.
that shows current residence in Southern Teller County. Children under the age
of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to receive a card. We enter
your name, phone number, and address in our system, at this time you may check
out up to three items. Your new library card can be picked up at the circulation
desk upon your next visit. Once you receive the card you are considered a new
cardholder. New cardholders will be considered temporary for the first three
months, and will be limited to three items at a time.
After three months library card holders in good standing (no unpaid fines or overdue
materials) may borrow up to five items for a year. Books, audios, and VHS videos are
checked out for two weeks. DVD’s are checked out for one week.
Fines are ten cents a day per item. There is a three-day grace period.
Renew by phone to avoid fines by calling 689-2800. The maximum fine is $3.00 per
item. If the item is lost, stolen, or damaged the fee is the replacement cost.
